Ginsberg Is...Elana Goldenkoff

"I have learned how important it is to be an engaged member of my community and have grown in my role as an active citizen on campus and in Washtenaw County. I have been challenged to think about how to change the research-subject recruitment processes to better reflect the diversity of our community."

Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning Announces New Call for Proposals

The Michigan Journal of Community Service Learning (MJCSL) is excited to announce a call for proposals for a special section entitled "Our Democratic Imperative: The Role of Higher Education in Developing Students’ Civic Identities." This special section, to be included in the Summer 2023 issue of MJCSL, will explore the impact of postsecondary efforts involving students in public service and civic engagement on the development of healthy civic identities.

In partnership with the Haas Center for Public Service and UC Berkeley Public Service Center, this section seeks to sharpen a collective vision for intended student outcomes, particularly as it relates to the educational goals of advancing democratic equality and achieving our civic mission.

Ginsberg Is...Benjamin Hollenbach

My time at Ginsberg has reinforced the idea that effective leadership is rooted in collaboration. It's not about one person doing well, it's about collaborating with others to cultivate an environment where everyone can thrive.
