Bio
Ry is a Master's student in Social Work and a graduate student therapist. As a graduate assistant in the America Reads program, they are responsible for supporting student tutors with resources and guidance for best success in the program, as well as assisting the Program Manager with operations.
A first-generation college student, Ry holds a certificate in teaching English as a Foreign Language, as well as a Bachelor's in Journalism, and strongly believes in the power of education and literacy to lift marginalized groups and individuals up.
In their free time, Ry enjoys writing fiction, a myriad of geeky interests, and traveling the world—13 countries and counting!
