Bio
Leela is a PhD Candidate in the department of Anthropology at UofM and holds a certificate from the Center for World Performance Studies (CWPS). Joining the Ginsberg Center as an Engaged Learning Graduate Consultant, she facilitates workshops to support students in preparing for and thinking critically about community-engaged work. Her research interests include racial politics, social movements and colonial memory in Spain. Leela's dissertation explores the intersections between performing arts and Afro-Spanish mobilization. Leela enjoys seeing theater, stand-up comedy, and being involved in arts-based education.
