University Partnerships Manager
Bio

Kayla helps campus partners -- faculty, staff, and students -- develop collaborative projects with Ginsberg's community partners. She cultivates campus-community relationships, consults with partners as they identify their priorities and scope out projects, and conducts regular partnership evaluations. Kayla also supports Ginsberg’s Storytelling for Social Change Initiative, which matches U-M students with community organizations seeking to increase their capacity around communications, marketing, and storytelling.

Kayla earned a PhD in English Literature from U-M in 2022. During her time in graduate school, she was involved in sexual assault and harassment advocacy; as a caucus leader for the Graduate Employment Organization and a member of several U-M committees, she advocated for improved protective and preventative measures around gender-based violence and discimination. After graduating, Kayla was eager to work full-time at an organization that centered social justice and change through coalition-building—she is thrilled to join the Ginsberg team.

Outside the Ginsberg Center, Kayla enjoys spending time connecting with friends, exploring Detroit, journaling, and catching live music or new movies.
