Bio
Addie is a PhD Candidate in Linguistic Anthropology with a certificate in Community Action and Research. As an Engaged Learning Graduate Consultant, they facilitate workshops to support students doing community-engaged work. Addie is also a GSI Consultant with CRLT on campus. Addie's dissertation research investigates the social consequences of language policy change in Morocco after the Indigenous language, Tamazight, became officialized and standardized in 2011. They are passionate about linguistic, social, and reproductive justice in and beyond the academy. In their free time, Addie enjoys hanging with her three cats, doing fiber arts, and reading across genres.
