Bio
Kiersten is an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science. As a Research Intern for Transportation United through Ginsberg’s Community Leadership Fellowship program, she conducts in-depth policy research on Detroit transit systems, analyzing historical trends, workforce data, and funding structures to inform major reports such as The State of Transit 2026. Kiersten is passionate about advancing equitable public transit, housing affordability, and sustainable urban planning. In her free time, Kiersten enjoys volunteering with Habitat for Humanity and exploring the Arb.
