Eleana is a Campus Compact AmeriCorps VISTA working at the Ginsberg Center for the 25-26 academic year. As a VISTA, she will focus on building relationships with partners at the United Way and the Washtenaw Area Volunteer Coordinators group, improving understanding of the volunteer landscape and challenges community partners face, and increasing transparency and access to existing tools. Eleana earned her undergraduate degree in sociology and brings with her a deep understanding of institutional structures and systemic barriers, as well as passion for equity, access, and sustainable partnerships between higher education and local communities. Outside of the office, Eleana can be found updating her Storygraph account, starting a new crochet project, or solving the daily crossword puzzle.
