Student Building Engagement Coordinator
Bio
Sofia has a strong background in service, advocacy, and community-based care. Last year, she completed an internship in Brazil, where she worked with young survivors of abuse. She also spent several years with a medical nonprofit organization that coordinated large-scale clinics across the country, providing free medical, dental, and vision care to as many people as possible over three-day periods. In this role, Sofia supported translation services, administration, and graphic design.
In addition to her nonprofit work, Sofia served as an American Reads tutor, helping students build literacy skills and confidence. Her long-term personal goals include learning Croatian and Portuguese. In her free time, she enjoys drawing, writing, and crocheting.
