Graduate Academic Liaison
Bio:
Kaylla is a PhD student in Design Science and a certificate student in Engineering Education Research. Her research focuses on approaches and barriers to designing more equitable futures that humanize and center marginalized communities. As a Graduate Academic Liaison, she facilitates workshops to support students doing community-engaged work. Kaylla values authentic institutional and interpersonal efforts to cultivate more equitable academic spaces and is passionate about radical inclusive teaching practices grounded in the notion of culturally sustaining and revitalizing pedagogy. In her free time, she enjoys building and making things, spending time outside with her dog Sequoia, and scoping out free campsites both near and far.
