Julia oversees all of Ginsberg’s marketing initiatives, including our newsletter, social media efforts, website content, and writing and sharing our stories with campus, community, and beyond. Julia works to make sure Ginsberg’s branding is clear and consistent and conveys the myriad of ways in which we are working towards social change.
Born in Glasgow, Scotland, Julia has bounced around the US a bit and landed in Ann Arbor more than a decade ago. Julia’s previous experience includes managing publicity and marketing in the automotive industry, working as a columnist and feature writer for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, and contributing to numerous other local, regional, and national publications. She has spent the last 15 years as a freelance writer and was drawn back into the world of marketing by Ginsberg’s vision and mission, as well as the passion and commitment of the Ginsberg staff. She enjoys working collaboratively in support of Ginsberg’s efforts to help build strong, thriving communities.
Outside of Ginsberg, Julia is a voracious reader, an amateur photographer, an avid knitter, and an unabashed, unapologetic TV addict. She is also an annoyingly pedantic grammarian and longs to travel wherever and whenever she can. She’s currently teaching herself French for no real reason whatsoever.
