Bio:
AunRika is fifth year PhD Candidate in the Sociology department and a Graduate Consultant on the Community Engagement track. As a publicly engaged scholar, she uses critical sociological theories of power, history, and social change to enrich community wellbeing. Her scholarship explores how and why the relationship between gender, religion, and human sexuality rearranges across time and space. AunRika is passionate about emotional justice and learning theory. She speaks French, and enjoys watching suspenseful thrillers, arcade gaming, and afrolatin dancing.
