Students

Welcome to the Ginsberg Center for Community Service and Learning at the University of Michigan. There are many resources and opportunities available for University students who wish to address serious social issues through community service and social action. The Ginsberg Center assists students in connecting their work in the community and on-campus learning to provide them with a valuable educational experience while meeting a real community need.

The resources available through the Ginsberg Center can help link individual students directly to community organizations, to co-curricular programs such as SERVE, Americorps or America Reads, or to service-learning courses. Through our student initiatives, we also support student organizations as they work toward their service and activist missions in the community.

If you need additional information or assistance, or have questions, please contact Dave Waterhouse, the Director of Student Initiatives, at (734) 647-8769 or hoohouse@umich.edu.
