Participant Application
- FALL 2008 -
COMMITMENT:
VIEW functions on a weekly basis, and therefore it is required that you attend your site each week. Local agencies depend on the service that we provide, and therefore weekly attendance is extremely important. All participants must attend bi-monthly issues meetings throughout the year. Site Leaders will be required to attend additional training held on Sundays, 1 hour each, throughout the month of October. All meetings will be on Sundays from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.
Participants: You are responsible for showing up to meetings and to your weekly sites. If you need to miss a meeting, please inform the leadership team, or if you are unable to make it to your site, please email your site leader.
Site Leaders: Site leaders will be selected after the start of the program. You will be responsible for getting vans, driving to sites, and starting discussions about what you have experienced at your site each week. You are also responsible for informing the sites if participants are unable to make a certain date. We would like you to give us weekly updates on how the site is going. There will be a separate, informal site leader meeting to go over these extra duties.
IMPORTANT DATES:- Application will be accepted on a rolling basis, the latest applications will be accepted is Friday September 19th at 5 pm.
- Applicants will be invited to interview on September 21st. The interview is casual and just to get to know you better.
Directions for application: Please complete the following questions. We just want to get to know you better and to know more about your experience. It is ok if you have had no experience with service learning or volunteering in Ann Arbor, we are using this solely to understand the group we will be working with better :)
