Getting Involved

Opportunities for Involvement in SERVE include:
- Participant: Five out of our six SERVE programs help UM students become directly involved with community organizations, learning and serving with them. You'll be able to participate in: community service, social issue education, group-building and fundraising. Each program offers differing levels of involvement from once weekly to intensive immersion experiences.
- Site Leader: If you would like to take on more responsibility in a leadership position at SERVE, Site Leader roles are also available. You will gain experience: leading groups of students to community service sites, coordinating logistics with the host organization and facilitating student discussion and reflection activities.
- Leadership Team: The way to become most deeply involved at SERVE is to join our Student Leadership Team. Collectively, the Lead Team is responsible for organizing and implementing all of our programs. Being on Lead Team you will assist in coordinating all aspects of team projects including PR, Finances, Site Development and Education. You will also be a part of the SERVE community as a whole which meets on a weekly basis for training, education and community building.
