How to Pick up and Return a Vehicle
Please be sure to go through Steps 1 to 5 on Requesting a Vehicle first! Once you have filled out the Driver Registration Form, signed the Driver Contract, and submitted a Vehicle Request, you may pick up the vehicle assigned to you. You will also need to submit a copy of your Driver's License to the Transportation Coordinator.
Ginsberg Center Fall Hours:
Monday thru Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
Vehicle Pick up:
- Check to make sure you or your group is on the schedule. Only take the car assigned to you! Taking the wrong vehicle throws off the entire schedule!
- Ask the front desk staff for the keys you need.
- Take the corresponding folder out of the box located across from the front desk. Each binder contains important information and a trip sheet, which indicates the location of your vehicle. Take the folder with you!
- Sign your vehicle out. There is a Sign Out/In sheet near the schedule. Please fill out all required information. Please print clearly!
- Before you drive away:
- Fill out the trip sheet in the binder please print clearly!
- Make a quick check of the vehicle. If it has trash in it, if it wasn't parked in the location indicated, or if there are any other problems, fill out one of the Transportation Problem Card.
Vehicle Return:
- Please do not return the vehicle with less than a half tank of gas! Ginsberg Center programs may fill up the tank at Transportation Services:
- From the Ginsberg Center, take Hill St. West (across State St.) to Greene St.
- Make a left onto Green and drive to Kipke.
- Turn left onto Kipke (just before the football stadium) until you see the white buildings across from the Chrisler Arena.
- Drive straight through the gate of Transportation Services and the gas pumps will be on the left.
- Before you leave the vehicle:
- Fill out the remainder of the trip sheet in the binder. Please be as specific as possible when noting the location of the vehicle.
- Clean out any trash.
- Turn off all lights including dome light!
- Lock the doors.
- Return the key to the front desk and replace the binder.
- If you filled out a Transportation Problem Card, give it to the front desk staff.
- Sign in on the Sign Out/In sheet.
