Community partners are integral to the Ginsberg Center's mission.

We understand the vital role you play in working toward social justice in your community, and want to connect you to the University of Michigan’s best resources: our students, faculty and staff.

We want to create lasting, meaningful, mutually beneficial relationships between the University of Michigan and our community.

The Ginsberg Center offers a range of ways for community partners to work with us. Whether you are looking for volunteers for one day or want to build a sustained partnership, we offer a variety of service opportunities with varying time commitments.

Our Philosophy: Rethinking Volunteering

Ginsberg's goal is not simply to funnel volunteers into local organizations. We take a deeper, more collaborative approach to civic engagement, service, and learning.

The Ginsberg Center works with you (the community organization), students, staff and faculty to facilitate a partnership that furthers each of our goals. We also understand that by taking on volunteers, you are opening up unique learning opportunities to our students, faculty, and staff.
