Bio

Irene Mora is a Ph.D candidate in History and Women and Gender Studies. As an Engaged Learning Graduate Consultant, Irene facilitates workshops to prepare and support students doing community-engaged work. Her research focuses on Latina community leaders of Detroit from 1920-1980. As a first-generation college student, Irene is deeply invested in demystifying academic spaces and helping underrepresented students learn about graduate school. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, running, spending time with family and friends, and traveling!
