Bio

Gurkirat is a PhD student in English and Women's and Gender Studies and a certificate student in South Asian Studies. As a graduate consultant at the Ginsberg Center, he helps community partners connect with and sustain relationships to workers and resources at the University of Michigan. Gurkirat is passionate about finding avenues for scholars and community members to find value in each other's struggle, joy, and labor and ultimately hopes to help people find and maintain mutually-beneficial connections. In his free time, Gurkirat enjoys playing Pokémon competitively, pop punk music, drinking chai lattes, and consuming nostalgic media from the late 90's-early 00's.
